Description: What does it mean to be born again? How can I practically have this experience in my life? In this lecture, we look into the Biblical answers to these questions. The Pharisees did everything to obey the commandments; they kept the Sabbath, and they were faithful with their tithes. Yet we see Jesus rebuke them and their ways. How hard is it to enter the kingdom of God, if the Pharisee who was so strict and perfect in their eyes did not qualify? Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3, “You must be born again. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Those who are of the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit. Being born again is this transformation. When you are born of the spirit the law of God is written in your heart. Rather than having the lust of the flesh in your heart, you begin to desire the things of God. By nature we don't love the things of God, but through the transformation of His Spirit, we come love the Word of God like the Psalmist did. Are you born again?
