Title: 1222 - Salvation and the Sanctuary
Author: Chad Kreuzer
Description: In this message, we will do a simple overview of the sanctuary and its symbols of salvation. The tabernacle in the Old Testament was a symbol of salvation. In the New Testament we see the fulfillment through Jesus Christ. Sin separates us from God. Psalm 77:13 says, “Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary.” In the Old Testament, on the Day of Atonement people offered sacrifices and their sins were forgiven. In the same way, when we come to Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. After the sacrifice of the animal in the Old Testament the priest would clean all the filthiness before he entered the sanctuary. In the same way, after repentance today we are baptized and then we have a daily walk with the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Kreuzer explains how the Tabernacle in the Old Testament resembles the salvation we have in Jesus and the daily walk is a preparation for us to be with Jesus. Just as in the Old Testament they stayed in the holy place in preparation to seeing God face to face, are you continually walking by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in preparation to seeing Jesus?
